So, we ordered a Photo Cake from Macey's for Kawai's Birthday BBQ. It was so cute, but originally had bubbles form underneath the picture. We found out that it was partially because we ordered Whipped Icing, instead of yucky Buttercream, and whipped has a wetter consistency. Lucky for us, Macey's is so nice, they re-did the picture for us:) - and of course gave us Kawai's free "destroy" cake! We had a great bakery experience with Macey's. (P. S. The only reason we did not go to BUY-LOW is because they don't have a photo machine.) To end the cake story, our new cake did actually bubble up again. So my main advice to everyone is that if you really want a photo cake, don't get whipped icing.
